This is your big day and you want it to be remembered. It will be like a whirlwind for you so you want a good photographic record to store all those memories and to share with your friends and family. You might be asking: how do I choose a photographer? There are three things to think about:
1 Cost - Weddings can be expensive and you don't want to waste money. But there are more important things to consider.
2 Style - You want a set of pictures that you can relate to and that will give you pleasure for years to come.
3 Rapport - Most importantly, the best photography comes out of a developing rapport between the photographer and the couple. This is a personality thing and what worked for your best friend, might not work for you.
If you want the expected wedding poses and groupings I can provide that. But there can be much more. I’ll spend some special time with just the two of you. We can explore the venue and discover its photographic opportunities together. I’ll also spend my time roaming amongst the guests, capturing special times, recording quirky moments, remaining all the time unobtrusive so as not to interfere.
Your wedding photography starts with a meeting over a beer or coffee (your choice, my cost) where we discuss all the practical and creative matters and start to get to know each other. This is where we start our rapport and develop the ideas which will guide the photography on the day.
My costs depend on what you want from the photography, but typically:
£300 to £400 for half day from arrival of the guests to first dance
£600 to £750 for full coverage which includes bride’s preparation (and Groom’s if practical)
The actual timings will be tailored to suit your own wedding and requirements.
For this you will receive the pictures of the day, fully optimised using the latest professional digital software, on a presentation USB pen drive.
